Innocent Civilians of Two Men and a Woman were Injured as a Result of the reckless Firing with Heavy Weapons carried out by an Armed Insurgent Group and So-called PDF Terrorists Towards the Villages in Phekon, Kawkareik and Shweku Township

      In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 May at 07:00 AM, an armed insurgent group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Sithar Village in Moebyal Town of Phekon Township, Southern Shan State. A heavy weapon shell exploded in the house yard of U Ni, 44 years old, (Father) U Hla Oo, who lives in this village. As the result, a rice barn and a house owned by U Ni were damaged. Additionally, U Ni sustained bomb injuries and was transported to the Saungpyaung Circuit hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 09:30 AM, an armed insurgent group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Nyaungyeitthar Village of Kawkareik Township, Kayin State. A heavy weapon shell exploded near the house of U Tin Tun Oo, 40 years old, (Father) U Aung Win, who lives in this village. As the result, U Tin Tun Oo sustained bomb injuries and was transported to the Hpa-an District Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 05:00 PM, some members from the KIA who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire with a heavy weapon from a location approximately two miles south-west of near Waykhu Village’s junction towards Pukhine Village of Shweku Township, Kachin State. A heavy weapon shell exploded near a refectory building within a monastic compound of the monastery in Pukhine Village. As the result, Daw Win Win Aye (aka) Daw Ei Ei Si, 38 years old, (Father) U Kyaw Sein, who lives in Shwekyinar Ward of Bhamo Township, and who was preparing ground to build a Ngagaryone Pagoda within the monastery compound, sustained bomb injuries, and was transported to a military clinic in Shweku Township for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with heavy weapons towards the villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
