Innocent civilians of two men, three women and three children were injured as a result of the reckless firing with heavy weapons carried out by an armed insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists towards Villages in Kyaikto, Katha and Chaung-U Township

      In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 31 May at 12:30 PM, an armed insurgent group and a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) recklessly opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Hlelanku Village in Kyaikto Township, Mon State. A heavy weapon shell fell and exploded in the house yard of U Saw Tun, 33 years old, (Father) U Shwe Thaung, who lives in this Village. As the result of the explosion, U Saw Tun and his family members Daw Win Sandar Myint (30 years old and (Father) U Myint Shwe), U Tun Tun Lin (37 years old and (Father) U San Ngwe), Mg Theim Pike Soe San (15 years old and (Father) U Saw Tun), Mg Myint Myat Tun (13 years old and (Father) U Tun Tun Lin) and Ma Yun Yati Tun (6 years old and (Father) U Tun Tun Lin) sustained injuries and were transported to the District Hospital in Kyaikto Town for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 01:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Thanpayar Village in Katha Township, Sagaing Region. A heavy weapon shell fell and exploded in the house yard of Daw Yu Lwin, 45 years old, who lives in this Village, causing Daw Yu Lwin to sustain injuries. She was transported to the District Hospital in Katha Town for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Likewise, 1 June at 08:45 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire with an improvised mortar (under scrutiny) towards Kinmuntaw Village in Chaung-U Township. The attack was launched from a location approximately 2000 meters southeast of the Village. A mortar bomb fell and exploded in the house yard of Daw Khin Aye Myint, 45 years old, (Father) U Tarzan, who lives in this Village, causing Daw Khin Aye Myint to sustain bomb injuries, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating the incidents to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with heavy weapons towards the villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
