Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 December 2024 at 6:00 AM, a report stated that four men were shot dead near Thegon Village in Oakpho Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim were U Aung Soe Moe (aka) Soe Gyi (50 years old), U Khin Soe (62 years old), U Min Lwin (57 years old) and U Min Min Lwin (aka) Kalar (25 years old), all residents of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victims were at their respective hosues, approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by eight motorcycles and abducted them. The terrorists took them to a location near the village, where they shot them. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
