Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 30 July, 2024 at 1:15 PM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in No. (10) Ward, Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Myat Naing Oo (48 years old), a resident of the ward. While he was repairing his motorcycle at the “Zaw” motorcycle workshop, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived by a motorcycle, opened fire, and then fled. As a result, the victim suffered gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Similarly, at 9:30 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Nga Myar Village, Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Tun Min Aung (42 years old), a resident of the village. While the victim was at his home, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived by five motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
