In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys.” This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 November, 2024 at 8:50 AM, a report stated that two men were shot dead and another one was injuries in Myohla Village, Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Kyaw Kyaw Han (37 years old) and Ko Soe Min Oo (26 years old), both residents of the village, along with U Min Min Thant (aka) Nay Aung (39 years old), a resident of Bone Taw Village. The victims were at U Kyaw Kyaw Han’s house when seven so-called PDF terrorists arrived, assaulted and opened fire on them. As a result, U Kyaw Kyaw Han and Ko Soe Min Oo died on the spot, while U Min Min Thant (aka) Nay Aung sustained injuries and was transported to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital for medical, it is reported.
Security parsonnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
