Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, so-called PDF terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 6 October, 2024 at 8:10 AM, a report stated that two men and a woman were shot dead in Kayin Ni Kone Village, Taungoo Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Myo Min (50 years old), a 100-household elder, U Soe Naing (50 years old) and his wife, Daw Zin Mar Htway (50 years old), all residents of the village. While the victims were at their respective houses, approximately 15 individuals of the KNU, who were supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, arrived and abducted them. The terrorists then took them to the outskirts of the village and opened fire on them. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 4:40 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot injuries had arrived at Shwegyin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Aung Kyaw Moe (42 years old), a resident of Shan Kone Ward in Shwegyin Township. While the victim was returning home from Kwan Seik Village, a terrorist group opened fire on him near Kyoun Chaung Village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
