Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across the States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of 'spies, informants or decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 3 June, 2024 at 10:55 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a man was found dead with injuries near Tin Taw Village, Aunglan Township, Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Hla Htay Aung (51 years old), a resident of Shwe Pan Taw Gyi Village. He was returning home from Tin Taw Village along the Kan Thar Yar-Tin Taw Village road. When he arrived at a location approximately four furlongs west of Tin Taw Village, a so-called PDF terrorists stabbed him and set him on fire. Consequently, U Hla Htay Aung died on the spot from his injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 5:15 PM, security personnel received a report stating that a man was shot dead in Thit Poat Village, Paungde Township, Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that on 2 June, 2024 at 11:30 PM, while U Myint Aung (69 years old), a resident of the village, was at his house, five so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. Consequently, U Myint Aung died on the spot from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the casualties of civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
