Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys.” This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 6 June, 2024 at 9:10 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a man had been shot dead in No. (7) Ward, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Zaw Zaw (61 years old), a resident of the ward and while he was in his house, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived by two motorcycles, opened fire on him. Consequently, U Zaw Zaw died on the spot from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:45 PM, security personnel received a report stating that a man was shot dead and a woman was injured near Nyaung Wun Village in Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were identified as U Thein Swe (aka) Bu Lwal (55 years old) and his wife Daw Thet Nwe (51 years old), residents of Thin Pyo Village in Kyaukse Township. While the couple were returning home by motorcycle from Kyaukse Town, two terrorists on a motorcycle followed and shot them. Consequently, U Thein Swe died on the spot, while Daw Thet Nwe was injured. Additionally, the terrorists robbed their motorcycle and a mobile phone before fleeing. The deceased and injured were transported to Kyaukse District Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the injuries and deaths of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
