Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

     some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials, and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on June 29, 2024 at 8:30 AM, U Sin Aung, (68 years old) and his younger brother, U Aung Myint (59 years old) who both lived in Kan Ni Village, Myaing Township, Magway Region, were heading to a field southeast of the village to pick vegetables. When they arrived near a jungle approximately 700 meters southeast of the village, they were attacked by a so-called PDF terrorist group wielding knives. Consequently, U Sin Aung and U Aung Myint succumbed to their injuries on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 5:00 PM, security personnel received a report of two men were shot dead in Kan Thar Village, Yaenanchaung Township, Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Ko Zaw Win Maung (37 years old) and his younger brother, Ko Myo San Aung (34 years old) who both lived in the village. The incident occurred while they were inside their respective houses, five so-called PDF terrorists arrived by four motorcycles and opened fire on them. Consequently, both victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:10 PM, security personnel received a report of a man was shot dead in Than Hlyat Mhaw (South) Ward, Chanmyatharzi Township, Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Phoe Kyaw (aka) Kyaw Myo Myint (43 years old) and a resident of the ward. The incident occurred while he was in front of the Daw Na Thu Kha Social Association Assistance Office. Two so-called PDF terrorists arrived by motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing. Consequently, U Phoe Kyaw (aka) Kyaw Myo Myint succumbed to his injuries on the spot, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
