Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil services, administrative officials, and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist activities. Employing firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassination after accusing them as 'spies, informants or decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 May, 2024 at 5:40 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead near Lal Tar-O Village, Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that U Khin Zaw (61 years old), a resident of the village, was returning to his village by motorcycle from Mahlaing Town along the Mahlaing-Latpanchaing Road. As he approached his village, three so-called PDF terrorists, who were waiting for him, opened fire before fleeing. As a result, he was died from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Similarly, at 9:30 PM on the same day, U Saw Maung Myint (38 years old), Mg Wai Yan Phyo (18 years old), and U Khin Maung Myint (40 years old), all from Yaekhar Village, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, were in their houses when seven so-called PDF terrorists arrived in a motor vehicle and detained them. Later, when the terrorists reached the outskirts of the village, they opened fire on them. As a result, all three were died from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
