Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil services, administrative officials, and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist activities. Employing firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassination after accusing them as 'spies, informants or decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 May, 2024 at 5:00 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead near the cemetery of Kyauk Yan Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that U Tun Min Lat (aka) Thet Shae (38 years old), a resident of No. (4) Ward in Myingyan Township, was travelling from home solely to Kyauk Yan Village by motorcycle. As he approached the cemetery, two so-called PDF terrorists and also riding a motorcycle, followed him and opened fire before fleeing. As a result, he died from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 5:45 PM on the same day, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in Nwe Yone Village, Sinku Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that Ko Pyae Phyo Naung (aka) Nga Phyo (23 years old), a resident of the village, was in front of his house when two so-called PDF terrorists opened fire before fleeing. As a result, he sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Sinku Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
