Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassination after accusing them of 'spies, informants or decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 14 May, 2024 at 12:50 PM, a report stated that two men were shot dead in Kawt Kamal Village, Bilin Township, Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that while U Naing Lin Tun (aka) Ko Naing (43 years old), a resident of the village, was at his “Kaung Myat Pyae Sone” petrol station along with U Aung Htway (aka) U Mon (60 years old), a resident of Zoat Thoat Village, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived by a motorcycle, opened fire on them, and fled. As a result, U Naing Lin Tun (aka) and U Aung Htway (aka) U Mon died on the spot with gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:45 PM on the same day, a report stated that two men were shot dead near I-Ma-Yoe Village, Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation and it was discovered that U Maung Kyi (48 years old) and Ko Kyaw Zaw Lin (aka) Chit Phee (33 years old), both lived in Thara Kan (North) in Mahlaing Township, were travelling in a light truck (License Plate No. 7P/XXXX) from Mahlaing Town to Thara Kan (North) Village along the Mahlaing-Natogyi Road. When they arrived at a location approximately one mile north of I-Ma-Yoe Village, a so-called PDF terrorist group, who were waiting for them, opened fire. As a result, they were killed by gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
