Innocent civilians were killed and injured in heavy weapon attack and drone-dropped bomb attack carried out by a group of armed insurgents who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists within wards and villages

     In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 March at 4:35 PM, a so-called PDF terrorists used a drone to drop bombs on No. (2) Ward in Mingin Township, Sagaing Region. The bombs exploded within the compound of a nursing home in the ward. As a result, U Myint Kyi (58 years old), U Kyaw Min Soe (41 years old), U Aung Lin (40 years old) and Daw Win Yi (48 years old), who all live in Kulal Village, Mingin Township, and seeking refuge in the home for the age from nearby battles, sustained injuries bomb shrapnel. They were transported to Mingin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:20 PM, a group of KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists, used a drone to drop bombs on Seikgyi Village in Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region. One of the bombs exploded on the road in front of the “Phwar Toe” edible oil factory and the “Shwekhayee” petrol station. As a result, Ma Eidray Phyo (eight years old), a resident of Seikgyi Village who was near the incident at the time, died from injuries caused by bomb shrapnel. Additionally, U Phyo Wai Aung (39 years old), Daw Mya Mya Yi (63 years old), and Ma Pan Nu Wah (four years old), also residents of Seikgyi Village and present near the incident, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Kyaukgyi Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:00 PM, Daw Thet Thet (52 years old) and her sons, Mg Soe Pyae Htway Aung (11 years old) and Mg Soe Pyae Phyo Aung (13 years old), who all live in Khintangyi Village, Yedashe Township, were in their house yard when a heavy weapon shell, fired by KNU members who support terrorism along with so-called PDF terrorists, exploded within the yard. As a result, they sustained injuries from heavy weapon shell shrapnel and were transported to Swar Circuit Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting an investigation into the incidents involving attacks with heavy weapons and bomb dropped from drones, which led to the injuries and the death mentioned earlier. The aim of this investigation is to take punitive action against the terrorists involved. This action is in accordance with the law and is geared towards upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
