Innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 March at 8:15 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near Kantharaye Village, Singaing Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Soe Moe Aung (aka) Soe Aung (38 years old), who lived in the village, was at an air inflation and tube repair shop located approximately one furlong west of the village along the Yangon-Mandalay highway. It was at this location that two so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Soe Moe Aung (aka) Soe Aung died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 27 March at 8:40 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Kyawlchan Village, Salin Township, Magway Region. Security personnel conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that on 26 March at 10:00 PM, U Myint Aung (65 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when eight so-called PDF terrorists arrived on five motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Myint Aung died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 27 March at 11:40 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Phayarkwin+Intawthar Village, Minhla Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Maung Htike (48 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and detained him. Subsequently, as the terrorists reached the Kyauktaung road, they opened fire on U Maung Htike. As a result, U Maung Htike died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 27 March at 12:30 PM, U Zaw Lin Oo (aka) Phoe Lone (52 years old), who lived in Nyaungchaehtauk Village, Oaktwin Township, was at his home when an approximately 30 individuals of KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists arrived and detained him. Later, as the terrorists reached the outskirts of Kankalay Village in Oaktwin Township, they opened fire on U Zaw Lin Oo (aka) Phoe Lone. As a result, U Zaw Lin Oo (aka) Phoe Lone died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

      Similarly, on 28 March at 8:45 AM, U Kyaw Kyu (42 years old), who lived in Konebo Village, Sinpaungwe Township, Magway Region, was at his home when eight so-called PDF terrorists arrived on four motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Kyaw Kyu died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
