In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 April at 12:40 PM, a report stated that a woman was killed and two men were injured by gunfire near Pantiechone Village, Pakokku Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that “Super Coffee Mix” employees, namely U Myint Khine (47 years old), Ko Nay Thu Lwin (22 years old), and Ma Tin Zar Win Pyae (32 years old), were travelling from Yesagyo Town to Pakokku Town in a six-wheeled CANTER vehicle (License Plate No. 4G/xxxx). As the vehicle approached a sawmill in Pantiechone Village, it was fired upon by small arms from a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, the vehicle’s right front wheel and front windshield were damaged. Additionally, Ma Tin Zar Win Pyae died from gunshot injuries, while U Myint Khine and Ko Nay Thu Lwin sustained gunshot wounds. The deceased and injured were transported to Pakokku Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned case, it is reported.
