In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies', 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 April at 10:00 AM, a report stated that two men and a woman were killed by gunfire in Tada (West) Village, Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Yin (75 years old), U Aung Ko (42 years old), and Daw Htay (61 years old) who all lived in the village, were in their homes when five so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on them, accusing them of being “Dalans/ Decoys”. As a result, they died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, on 7 April at 10:30 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Phyunat Village, Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region. Security personnel conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that on 6 April at 8:00 PM, U Khin Maung Zaw (aka) Arlu (49 years old), who lived in the village, was in his home when seven so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Khin Maung Zaw died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, on 7 April at 2:55 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire on the roadside of the Kawdot-Kyaikminwa road near Kawdot Village, Ye Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Soe Naing (49 years old), who lived in the village, was travelling to Kyaikminwa beach in his FIELDER vehicle (License Plate No. 2N-XXXX) when a group of KNU members, who support terrorism along with so-called PDF terrorists, ambushed him. They opened fire, robbed his vehicle and fled the scene. As a result, U Aung Soe Naing died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, on 7 April at 8:50 PM, a report stated that two men were killed by gunfire in Seintaung Ward, Kamarwat Town, Mudon Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Htein Win (aka) U Malt (53 years old) and his son, Mg Thein Nyan (18 years old), who both lived in the ward, were in their house when four individuals from the New Mon State Split Party, who support terrorism, arrived and opened fire. As a result, both were killed by gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned case, it is reported.
