Innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies', 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 April, 2024 at 2:15 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Thayettaw (South) Ward, Kyimyindine Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Maung Maung Oo (aka) U Maung Oo (61 years old), who lived in Magyitan (North-East) Ward, was riding his trishaw along Thayettaw (5) Street. As he passed in front of a community hall used for religious purposes, a so-called PDF terrorist opened fire on him and then fled the scene. As a result, U Maung Maung Oo (aka) U Maung Oo died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 4:50 PM, a report stated that a man was found dead with injuries in the “Saldawgyi” ditch located in Hnangyi Village, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a man, approximately 36-year-old, had been killed with gunshot and knife injuries by a terrorist group at the incident site. The deceased was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for examination, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 28 April at 9:00 AM, a report stated that a woman was killed by gunfire in Phaungkadaw Village, Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Wyne (76 years old), who lived in the village, was in her house when six so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire on her. As a result, Daw Wyne died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
   Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
