Innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers “Anyone with differing views is an enemy” are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being “spies, informants, or decoys” to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 April, 2024 at 8:40 AM, a report stated that a woman with gunshot injuries arrived at Bhamo Township Public Hospital in Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that, U Min Kyaw Myint was driving a hand-pulled tractor trailer, accompanied by his wife, Daw Khin Hnaung Chan Myae (51 years old) and their son, Mg Min Aung Khant Kyaw, who all live in Konetain Village, Mansi Township. Upon their arrival at Kaungyar Ward in Mansi Town, a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on them. As a result, Daw Khin Hnaung Chan Myae sustained gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 9:30 AM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in Myoma Ward, Sitkwin Town, Mihla Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a 100-household elder, U Naing Myo Tun (50 years old) who lives in Waziyar Ward, was shopping in Sitkwin Town’s market when three so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Naing Myo Tun suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to No. (6) Military Hospital (100-bedded) in Shwetaung Town for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
