Innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies, informants, or decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 May, 2024 at 11:15 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead and another was injured in Shwe Min Wun Ward, Sagaing Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Kyaw Htet Aung (aka) Si Si, who lives in the ward, was at his home with his friend, U Nay Bala (28 years old) when four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Nay Bala was shot dead, while U Kyaw Htet Aung (aka) Si Si sustained gunshot injuries. He was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 11:20 AM, a report stated that a man and woman were shot dead in No. (9) Ward, Shwebo Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Min Htike (45 years old) and his wife, Daw Myint Myint Than (42 years old), were at their home when six so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles. They opened fire on the couple, resulting in their deaths. Additionally, the terrorists robbed two motorcycles and MMK 85 lakhs from the house, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 3:15 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Mhon Kan Village, Yaenanchaung Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Khin Maung Myint (51 years old), who lived in the village, was in his house when six so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, he was shot dead, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 4 May at 5:00 AM, U Thein Lwin Soe (aka) Kyauk Khel (47 years old), who lived in Pay Pin Shae Village, Pyawbwe Township, Mandalay Region, was in his house when a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, he was shot dead, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
