     On 5 August, KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists wantonly opened fire heavy weapons towards Moetarlay Village in Katha Township of Sagaing Region, resulting in injuries to five innocent civilians including a 7-year-old child, it is reported.
     The incident happened that on 5 August at 10:10 PM, KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists wantonly opened fire heavy weapons towards Moetarlay Village from the location of 200 meters away from the northwest of Myaynu Village. A projectile from the heavy weapon hit and exploded on the house of U Kyaw San, resulting in injuries to five innocent civilians including a 7-year-old child from shell shrapnel, it is reported.
     Security personnel have been providing essential medical treatment to all injured individuals, who were subsequently transported to Shweku Town Public Hospital for further medical care. Furthermore, the security forces are actively conducting inspections to ensure the absence of any remaining unexploded bombs within the vicinity. This effort aims to prevent any potential harm to local residents resulting from unintended explosions.
     The audacious terrorist attack on non-military targets within a residential ward constitutes a war crime under the provisions of the Geneva Conventions and international law. Consequently, it has been reported that security personnel will persist in implementing necessary measures in response to this situation, it is reported.
