KKO (Splinter) group and so-called PDF terrorists launch a drop bomb attack on Basic Education Sub-High School in Kawkareik Township, resulting in the death of a female student and injuries to three others

     In the afternoon of 13 October, when students were leaving the school after sitting for their mid-term exams, KKO (Splinter) group and so-called PDF terrorists intentionally launched a drop bomb attack using drones on Basic Education Sub High School located in No. (2) Ward, Kawkareik Township of Kayin State. A student was killed, and three others were critically injured in a bomb attack.
     The security personnel sent the injured students to the Kawkareik Town Public Hospital to receive medical treatment.
     The terrorists launched the attack to threaten the lives of students and teachers and also to stop the education process. This act constituted a war crime according to the Geneva Convention and International Law, and necessary action will be taken by the security personnel, it is reported.
