It has been found that terrorists have been carrying out destructive activities such as setting fire to and detonating roads, railways and bridges, with the aim of cutting off transportation.
Since they are conducting such destructive acts, on 14 November at 00:30 AM, a report stated that KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists blew up a mine at the No. 116-A (10 feet long) bridge located between railway milepost 85/1 and 85/2, situated between Daik-U railway station and Pyuntaza railway station in Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region. Security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. Upon inspection, it was found that a concrete block (3x3 feet) at the end of the bridge was damaged as a result of the explosion. Additionally, three homemade mines were found between two railway tracks and four homemade mines under the bridge were promptly cleared, it is reported.
Responsible officials are now repairing the damaged railway bridge, and security personnel are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who blew up the bridge, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
