Nine innocent civilians were injured due to the reckless opening of fire with a heavy arm by the KIA insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists towards a Ward in Bhamo Township, Kachin State.
The incident occurred that, on 23 April at 11:15 AM, the KIA insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists recklessly opened fire a heavy arm towards Hantae Ward of Bhamo Township, Kachin State. The heavy arm’s bombs had exploded beside a Road leading to the U-Pane Bridge in this Village. Total nine people, including Mg Nay Lin Chit, 23 years old (Father) U Maung Maung Oo, Ma Hnin Ei Khine, 25 years old (Father) U Myint Oo, Mg Khant Min Thaw, 4 years old (Father) U Soe Min Tun, Ma Chan Myae Phu Thwal, 16 years old (Father) U Mya Than, Ma Tin Hnin Wai Aung, 18 years old (Father) U Myint Shwe, U Sai Thiha, 28 years old (Father) U Tun Shwe, Daw Soe Soe Htway, 47 years old (Father) U Soe Nwet, U Myo Min Thein, 44 years old (Father) U Thein Kyaw and U Aung Naing Tun, 52 years old (Father) U Hla Aung, who all passing by near the scene at that time, sustained heavy arm’s bomb injuries and were taken to the Bhamo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire with a heavy arm towards a Ward, causing injuries of innocent civilians, as soonest in line with law to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
