Office buildings were damaged in a reckless drop bomb attack using a drone carried out by so-called PDF terrorists on the Township General Administrative Office and the Township Development Committee Office in Shwegu Township, Kachin State, it is reported.
The incident occurred, on 19 July at 10:50 AM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly dropped two bombs using a drone on the Township General Administrative Office in No. (4) Ward of Shwegu Township. During the attack, the bombs landed and exploded on the roof of the office building. As a result of the explosion, eight zinc roofs, approximately 10 feet of ceiling, eight window panes and a fan were damaged as well as the brick wall was slightly damaged (estimated value at about MMK 20 lakhs), it is reported.
Likewise, at 11:30 AM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly dropped two bombs using a drone on the Township Development Committee Office in No. (4) Ward of Shwegu Township. During the attack, the bomb landed and exploded on the roof of the office building. As a result of the explosion, 75 zinc roofs, the ceilings, three large tables, a file-shelf, 12 window panes, a Laptop and two printers were damaged (estimated value of about MMK 73 lakhs), it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with drop bomb using a drone on departmental office buildings, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
