Residential Houses were destroyed as a Result of the firing of Heavy Weapons by the KIA members who support terrorism and So-Called PDF Terrorists at Tharyarkone Village in Shweku Township

      On the night of 7 May, the KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons at Tharyarkone Village in Shweku Township, Kachin State, it is reported.
      The incident happened that, on 7 May at 07:15 PM, the KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons at security forces who were taking security measures near Tharyarkone Village of Shweku Township in Kachin. The attack was launched from a location approximately 700 meters north of the Village. When the security forces retaliated, the terrorists retreated and fled to the northwest of the Village. A total of 15 residential houses were destroyed in a fire outbreak caused by the explosion of heavy weapon shells, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire with heavy weapons the Village, where innocent civilians live, as soonest in line with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
