Sabotage Group of KNLA Members Supporting Terrorism and So-called PDF Terrorists Detonates Bridge No. (1/137) on Yangon-Mawlamyine Road Near Kayin Lay Seik Village in Thaton Township

     On July 17 at 4:20 AM, a sabotage group consisting of KNLA members, who support terrorism, and so-called PDF terrorists, detonated Bridge No. (1/137) along the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road near Kayin Lay Seik Village in Thaton Township of Mon State, it is reported.
     The incident occurred on 17 July, 2024 at 4:20 AM. A sabotage group comprising KNLA members, who support terrorism, and so-called PDF terrorists, blew up Bridge No. (1/137), known locally as the “Bo Khan Kwin” Bridge. The bridge measures approximately 10 feet in length and 40 feet in width, and is located between mileposts 136/2 and 136/3 along the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road near Kayin Lay Seik Village in Thaton Township of Mon State. The explosion destroyed the bridge causing to collapse. As a result, vehicles are currently unable to pass through, and responsible officials are dedicated to quickly repairing the damaged bridge, it is reported.
     The terrorist insurgents detonated the bridge, which is used by the public, with the aim of disrupting the government's administrative mechanism and disrupting the transportation network of the area. Security personnel joining hands with local people are taking the measures of suppressing the terrorists as per protocols to restore peace, stability and rule of law in the affected areas, it is reported.
