Armed insurgents, who support terrorism alongside so-called PDF terrorists, have been engaging battles within the public towns, wards and villages, involving firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 4 July, 2024 between 11:15 AM and 1:50 PM, the so-called PDF terrorists launched improvised rockets into Tha Yet Kwa Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region. Within the village, 20 improvised rocket shells exploded, while an additional five exploded in a field north of the village. As a result of these explosions, seven houses belonging to local residents, including the house of U Kyaw Lwin (51 years old) and a resident of the village, were damaged, it is reported.
Due to battles occurring within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, involving the firing of heavy weapons, improvised rockets and drone-dropped bombs, residents’ houses have been damaged. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
