On 15 April at about 09:30 AM, so-called PDF terrorists dropped a bomb using a drone while people, including children, were enjoying the splashing of water on the third day (A-Kyat Nei) of Maha Thingyan at Kayah State Government Office’s Central Pandal. Due to the drop bomb attack, 28 innocent civilians including 15 men and 13 women got injured.
Receiving Medical Treatment
Security personnel transported injured individuals to the Loikaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, and state chief minister U Zaw Myo Tint and other responsible officials visited the injured persons, provided encouragement and fulfilled their needs.
On the same day at about 05:30 PM, so-called PDF terrorists dropped two bombs using a drone while villagers, including children, were enjoying the splashing of water on the third day (A-Kyat Nei) of Maha Thingyan at the chapel (community hall for religious purpose) in Ngwetwin village of Ayardaw township of Sagaing region. In the attack, three children including 13 residents got shrapnel wounds. Injured individuals were transported to the Ayardaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Carrying out to identify and arrest Terrorists
The intentional bomb attack with drones on children and innocent people celebrating in Thingyan Water Festival is committing a war crime according to the Geneva Conventions and international law. Therefore, it is reported that the terrorists who committed the bombarding to identify and arrest in accord with the law as soon as possible.
