So-called PDF Terrorists beat, tortured and abduct teachers including the Principal of State Agricultural Institute (Dawei) and also kill a deputy staff officer of the Township Agricultural Department

     With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to support them by making people very frightened, the NUG and their subordinates so-called PDF terrorists, which the Government has declared as terrorist organizations, are conducting various kinds of destructive activities across the country such as intimidation and coercion against students, teachers and parents; abductions and killings of students, teachers and parents; arson and bombing attacks on schools. In addition to the acts aforesaid, so-called PDF terrorists, with destructive emotions, are making acts of vandalism against the government’s efforts on education sector development such as putting textbooks and teaching/learning aids to the torch; and taking those forcibly.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 July, so-called PDF terrorists forcibly abducted a total of seven people including the female principal of the State Agricultural Institute (Dawei) located in Sakhangyi Village of Lounglon Township in Tanintharyi Region, her 11-year-old son and five other teachers, it is reported.
     The incident happened that on 20 July at 12:30 PM, a car coming from Myohaung Village with so-called PDF terrorists holding arms arrived at the State Agricultural Institute (Dawei) located in Sakhangyi Village, Lounglon Township of Tanintharyi region. The terrorists forced the principal, teachers to lie down on the floor, and students to sit down. They then beat and tortured the teachers including the principal and students of the institute. The terrorists repeatedly threatened the teachers to join CDM and leave the Institute by 08:00 AM on 21 July. They then forcibly abducted the female principal, her 11-year-old son and five other teachers, and left for Myohaung Village at about 04:30 PM, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 22 July, U Thein Oo, a deputy staff officer of the township agricultural department who was teaching agricultural subject at the Institute, was sleeping in his house when so-called PDF terrorists with motorbikes arrived at the house. They then took him to a palm oil farm east of his house and shot him dead using small arms. As a result, U Thein Oo was dead at the scene, it is reported.
     The NUG and so-called PDF terrorists have been engaging in acts of terrorism, including setting fire to schools and attacking them with drop bombs. Additionally, they are unlawfully occupying schools and using them as terrorist camps, constructing bunkers, and digging communicating trenches. Their sinister objective seems to be to create uneducated classes throughout the entire country. In response to these heinous acts, security personnel are actively taking necessary measures to apprehend the PDF terrorists responsible for abducting seven individuals, including a principal who was dedicated to educating the future generations, and for the fatal attack on the deputy staff officer. It has been reported that the perpetrators of these terrorist acts will face punitive actions in accordance with existing laws.
