Some of the state-owned and private communication towers were built and installed to facilitate telecommunication and information flow among people were set fire and destroyed by political extremists who oppose social development and stability of the people in the country. It has been found that acts of terrorism include arson and explosive attacks are carried out on communication towers.
Since they are conducting such destructive acts, on 13 July at 05:45 PM, according to the information indicated that so-called PDF terrorists blew up a Mytel telecommunication tower located five furlongs away from the Township Immigration Department office in Ayartaw Township of Sagaing Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. The investigation found that a Csu Cabinet box containing line cards had been destroyed in the explosion. Additionally, another homemade mine made from a large soap container was found. The security personnel cleared and defused it, it is reported.
Security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the perpetrators who blew up a telecommunication tower as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
