So-called PDF terrorists conduct disruptive acts against education sector development in Ayartaw Township to create uneducated classes in the society

With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to support them by making people very frightened, the NUG, CRPH, and their subordinates so-called PDF terrorist Groups, which the Government has declared as terrorist organizations, are conducting various kinds of destructive activities across the country such as intimidation and coercion against students, teachers and parents; abductions and killings of students, teachers and parents; arson and bombing attacks on schools. In addition to the acts aforesaid, so-called PDF terrorists, with destructive emotions, are making acts of vandalism against the government’s efforts on education sector development such as putting textbooks and teaching/learning aids to the torch; and taking those forcibly.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 22 June at 06:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) launched an attack using improvised motars towards a Basic Education High School where nine teachers were providing education to 102 students in Talalbar Village of Ayartaw Township, Sagaing Region. The attack was initiated from Hlatwae Village located on the opposite side of Mu River. One of the improvised motar shells landed and exploded on the roof of a two-story teaching building built with brick and zinc roof within the school compound. As a result of the explosion, approximately eight feet of the roof and ceilings of the teaching building were damaged, it is reported.
Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those terrorists involved in the aforementioned case and to take legal action against them. The public was urged to oppose the so-called NUG and PDF terrorist groups who committed nefarious acts and participate in protecting security for the future of children by providing the information about terrorists’ movements to concerned administration bodies, it is reported.
