With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to support them by making people very frightened, the NUG, CRPH, and their subordinates so-called PDF terrorist Groups, which the Government has declared as terrorist organizations, are conducting various kinds of destructive activities across the country such as intimidation and coercion against students, teachers and parents; abductions and killings of students, teachers and parents; arson and bombing attacks on schools. In addition to the acts aforesaid, so-called PDF terrorists, with destructive emotions, are making acts of vandalism against the government’s efforts on education sector development such as putting textbooks and teaching/learning aids to the torch; and taking those forcibly.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 26 May at 02:30 PM, the headmaster of the Basic Education Middle School in Khunpulu Village of Pakokku Township, Magway Region, U Nyi Nyi Lwin, 53 years old, (Father) U Tin Shwe, general worker U Than Win, 56 years old, (Father) U Khin Po, and Junior Assistant Teacher Daw Wai Wai Nwe, 30 years old, were returning on their motorcycles from the school to their respective homes along the Pakokku-Sinkyoe Road. When they arrived near a Pagoda located in Shwetantit Village, three so-called PDF terrorist, who were waiting, at a gun point and forced them to stop their motorcycles. Later, they beat U Nyi Nyi Lwin and robbed two motorcycles and two mobile phones before fleeing. As a result, U Nyi Nyi Lwin sustained injuries and was transported to the Pakokku District Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those terrorists involved in the aforementioned threats and to take legal action against them. The public was urged to oppose the NUG and so-called PDF terrorist groups who committed nefarious acts and participate in protecting security for the future of children by providing the information about terrorists’ movements to concerned administration bodies, it is reported.
