With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to support them by making people very frightened, the NUG, CRPH, and their subordinates so-called PDF terrorist Groups, which the Government has declared as terrorist organizations, are conducting various kinds of destructive activities across the country such as intimidation and coercion against students, teachers and parents; abductions and killings of students, teachers and parents; arson and bombing attacks on schools. In addition to the acts aforesaid, so-called PDF terrorists, with destructive emotions, are making acts of vandalism against the government’s efforts on education sector development such as putting textbooks and teaching/learning aids to the torch; and taking those forcibly.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 25 May at 03:30 PM, the headmistress of the Basic Education Middle Shool in Kadae Vilage, Daw Su lat Phyu, 34 years old, (Father) U San Aung, who lived in Magyikon Village of Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region, was returning from the Township Education Officer Office to Magyikon Village, and when she arrived in front of her house, four members of a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived on two motorcycles and fatally shot her. Additionally, the terrorists forced the family out of the house and subsequently detonated it. A single-story house built with zinc roofing and a brick foundation was destroyed in the explosion, it is reported.
Similarly, at 04:40 PM, staff from the Technological University in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer U Thura Soe, 27 years old (Father) U Kyaw Soe, MC Lecturer U Min Aung Wai, 29 years old (Father) U Kyaw Thu and EC lecturer U Kyaw Khine Htway, 27 years old (Father) U Kyaw Aye, were travelling in a led color SGG-1S/XXXX MISTUBISHI MINCUB motor vehicle driven by Ko Wai Yan Tun, 26 years old (Father) U Thein Tun from Myaynae Village to the University. When they reached near Ayethar public rest house located at the entrance of Myaynae Village, four members of a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on them. As a result, U Thura Soe sustained gunfire injuries and was transported to a military hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, on 26 May at 09:20 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group dropped bombs using a drone on the Basic Education High School in Nganmyar Village of Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. The drop bombs exploded on the old school building named “Myawady” located within the school compound and in the house yard of Daw Aye Paing, 80 years old, (Father) U Mya Than, located adjacent to the east of the school. The explosion caused damage to 11 zinc roofs of the school building and injuries to Daw Aye Paing. She was transported to the Ngazun Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those terrorists involved in the aforementioned threats and to take legal action against them. The public was urged to oppose the so-called NUG and PDF terrorist groups who committed nefarious acts and participate in protecting security for the future of children by providing the information about terrorists’ movements to concerned administration bodies, it is reported.
