So-called PDF terrorists conduct disruptive acts against education sector development in Taungoo and Kale Township to create uneducated classes in the society

      With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to support them by making people very frightened, the NUG, CRPH, and their subordinates PDF terrorist Groups, which the Government has declared as terrorist organizations, are conducting various kinds of destructive activities across the country such as intimidation and coercion against students, teachers and parents; abductions and killings of students, teachers and parents; arson and bombing attacks on schools. In addition to the acts aforesaid, so-called PDF terrorists, with destructive emotions, are making acts of vandalism against the government’s efforts on education sector development such as putting textbooks and teaching/learning aids to the torch; and taking those forcibly.
      Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 25 June at 05:30 AM, terrorists recklessly set fire to a Basic Education Post Primary School in Monkone Village of Taungoo Township, Bago Region. Fortunately, the fire did not spread extensively, and only minor damage was observed at the door of the sixth-grade classroom, near the entrance, and outside the brick wall of the kindergarten classroom within the school compound. Currently, there are five teachers providing education to a total of 196 students in this school, it is reported.
      Likewise, at 07:15 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) launched an attack by dropping a bomb using a drone towards a Technological University in Tharyarwadi Village of Kale Township, Sagaing Region. The attack was initiated from a location approximately 800 meters east of the University. The bomb landed and exploded on the roof of the dining building, resulting in damage to the zinc roof of the building. Currently, 32 teachers were providing education to 22 students in this university, it is reported.
      Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those terrorists involved in the aforementioned case and to take legal action against them. The public was urged to oppose the so-called NUG and PDF terrorist groups who committed nefarious acts and participate in protecting security for the future of children by providing the information about terrorists’ movements to concerned administration bodies, it is reported.
