Some of the state-owned and private communication towers were built and installed to facilitate telecommunication and information flow among people were set fire and destroyed by political extremists who oppose social development and stability of the people in the country. It has been found that acts of terrorism include arson and explosive attacks are carried out on communication towers.
Since they are conducting such destructive acts, on 15 June at 08:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) demolished, destroyed and stole related materials (under scrutiny) from the SGG 0754 Mytel telecommunication tower, which was installed on a hill located approximately 100 yards north of Nanseema Village in Phaungpyin Township, Sagaing Region, it is reported.
Responsible officials are now repairing the damaged tower, and security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the perpetrators who demolished and destroyed a telecommunication Tower as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
