So-called PDF terrorists detonated five improvised mines and set fire to a vehicle belonging to the Social Assistant Association, which was carrying oxygen tanks, near Kyaukhlaygar Village of Yesagyo Township.
The incident occurred that on the evening of 28 January when two members of the Phyusin Social Assistant Association were travelling in a SUPER CUSTOM vehicle, belonging of the association, to transport oxygen cylinders from Shwetheintaw Oxygen Plant in Pakokku Town to the Phyusin Social Assistant Association located in No. (3) Ward of Yesagyo Town. As the vehicle neared Kyaykhlaygar Village in Yesagyo Township, so-called PDF terrorists detonated five improvised mines and attacked with small arms. The two members managed to escape from the vehicle, which was later set fire by the terrorists.
Security personnel are conducting an investigation into the incidents involving the detonation of five improvised mines and a small arms attack on the vehicle, which resulted in the earlier mentioned events. The aim of this investigation is to take punitive action against the terrorists involved. This action is in accordance with the law and is geared towards upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
