So-called PDF terrorists launched a reckless drop bombs attack using a drone on the Kani Myoma Police Station in Kani Township, causing the detonation of the bombs within residential Wards and resulting in injuries to three innocent civilians including two children due to bomb shrapnel, it is reported.
The incident happened that on 12 August at 08:00 AM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly attacked drop bombs using a drone onto the Kani Myoma Police Station located in No. (1) Ward of Kani Town in Sagaing Region. The attack was initiated from Dazalchaung Village. Some drop bombs landed and detonated within residential Wards, and one of the drop bombs landed and exploded on the home-based shop owned by U Than Swe located in No. (1) Ward. As a result, 10 zinc roofs of the shop were destroyed, while U Than Swe’s children; Ma Htet Myat Wai, 24 years old, Mg Shine Yarzar Htet, 8 years old and Grade-2 student, and Mg Shin That Ko, 15 years old and Grade -10 student, who was shopping at the shop at the time of explosion, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. Security personnel have been providing essential medical treatment to all injured individuals, who were subsequently transported to the Kani Township Public Hospital for further medical care.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists responsible for causing injuries to innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
