So-called PDF terrorists wantonly burned down residential houses in a village of Kambalu Township, Sagaing Region, causing extensive destruction to the homes.
The incident happened that, on 24 April at 09:15 PM, while security personnel were carrying out security measures in Chatthin Village of Kambalu Township in Sagaing Region, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire improvised mortars from the edge of a forest near the Village. When security personnel responded, the terrorists retreated to Hlepwal Village. During their retreat, they burned down residential houses in the Village, resulting in the destruction of those homes due to the fire, it is reported.
Security forces are taking necessary measures to take effective action against the terrorists who attacked improvised mortars towards the Village where innocent civilians live, and wantonly burned down residential houses, in accordance with the law and security measures to ensure peace and stability in the area, it is reported.
