In states and regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 November at 08:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) attacked with a drop bomb using a drone onto a wedding ceremony with a food offering in Myinchin Village of Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region. The bomb landed and exploded during the ceremony. As a result of the explosion, Ko Thet Khaing Oo (35 years old), who lives in Myinchin Village, was dead from bomb shrapnel injuries to his back. Additionally, a total of 20 Villagers; Ko Nay Soe Win (aka) Tar Yar (30 years old), Daw Ohn Thant (52 years old), Ma San San Yu (aka) Ma Mon (41 years old), Daw Khin Thein (74 years old), Ma Aie Mon Linn (aka) Aye Chan Thu (22 years old), Daw Nyo Kyi (42 years old), Ma Tin Zar Nwe (25 years old), Ma Chae Chae Win (25 years old), Daw Aye Aye Win (45 years old), Ma Thae Su (18 years old), Daw Nyo (43 years old), Ma Tin Zar Win (30 years old), Ma Moe War (33 years old), Daw Moe Moe Aye (48 years old), Ma San San Nu (41 years old), Ma San San Yu (40 years old), U Than Shwe (74 years old), U Myint Saung (55 years old), U Kyaw Moe(46 years old)Mg Phyoe Thu Rein (10 months old), sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. They all were transported to the Shwebo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 09:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) attacked with a drop bomb using a drone onto a wedding ceremony with a food offering conducted within the Mingyi monastery compound located in Theelone Village of Shwebo Township. The bomb landed and exploded during the ceremony. As a result of the explosion, the abbot U Tayza (aka) U Pyae Sone (77 years old) from Mingyi monastery and Daw Phyu Phyu Win (56 years old), who lives in Theelone Village, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. They were transported to the Shwebo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with drop bombs using drones on the wedding offering ceremonies, resulting in the deaths and injuries of innocent civilians including a Buddhist monk, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
