Some innocent civilian were killed and injured in a heavy weapon attack carried out by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists within wards and villages

     In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 March at 1:40 PM, a repot state that a woman with heavy weapon shrapnel injuries arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Bhamo Township, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Ma Aye (62 years old), who lives in Manpon Village in Momauk Township, was sitting in her house yard when a heavy weapon shell, fired by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, Daw Ma Aye sustained injuries from the shrapnel of heavy weapon shell, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:05 PM, a repot state that a man and a woman with heavy weapon shrapnel injuries arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Mogaung Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Law (70 years old) and Daw Lu Jar (60 years old), who both live in Kaunyar Ward in Karmine Town, Phakant Twonship, were at their homes when heavy weapon shells, fired by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded within the ward. As a result, U Aung Law and Daw Lu Jar sustained injuries from the shrapnel of heavy weapon shells, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:45 PM, a repot state that two men with heavy weapon shrapnel injuries arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Mogaung Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Htay Naing (32 years old) and his father, U Maung Maung (74 years old), who both live in Myoma Ward in Karmine Town, Phakant Township, were farming in an upland field near Lawar Village in Phakant Township, when a heavy weapon shell, fired by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded near them. As a result, U Htay Naing and U Maung Maung sustained injuries from the shrapnel of heavy weapon shell. Sadly, among them, U Maung Maung died from his injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting an investigation into the incident involving heavy weapon attacks, which led to the injuries and the death mentioned earlier. The aim of this investigation is to take punitive action against the terrorists involved. This action is in accordance with the law and is geared towards upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
