In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating dropping bombs, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 September at 11:00 AM, KIA members who support terrorism and a so-called PDF terrorist group launched a reckless heavy weapons attack on Htantabin Village in Mohnyin Township of Kachin State. One of the heavy weapon shells landed and exploded near a plantation farm’s hut of Daw A Ngal Lay (44 years old) who lives in this Village. As a result of the explosion, Daw A Ngal Lay sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel and was transported to the Mohnyin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 01:30 PM, so-called PDF terrorists (total number – under scrutiny) attacked by dropping bombs using a drone onto No. (2) Ward of Myothar Town in Ngazun Township in Mandalay Region. One of the drop bombs landed and exploded in front of the “Shwe Kyal Sin” restaurant in this Ward. As a result of the explosion, Ko Lwin (35 years old) who lives in Taungzinn Village of Nyaung-U Township, and his son Mg Aung Htoo Myat (4 years old), who both present in the restaurant, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. They were transported to the Myothar Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with heavy weapons and drop bombs using a drone towards a Village and a Ward, causing injuries to innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
