In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 June at 10:50 PM, an insurgent supporting terrorism and approximately six so-called PDF terrorists recklessly opened fire with heavy weapons towards Wards in Theinzayet Town, Kyaikto Township. The attack was initiated from Toneaeinsu Village Junction Road in No. (1) large Ward. The 60mm bombs detonated upon landing in Ywarlay Ward of No. (1) large Ward. As a result of the explosions, innocent civilian Daw Aye Aye Nwe, 38 years old (Father) U Chit Lwin was dead from bomb shrapnel injuries, while U Zin Bo Lat, 34 years old (Father) U Myint Wai, Ma Thazin Aung, five years old (Father) U Zin Bo Lat, U Shein Kyaw, 35 years old (Father) U Win Naing, and Daw Cho Mar Than, 36 years old (Father) U Khin Maung Phyu, who all reside in this Ward, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel, and they were transported to the Theinzayet Circuit hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with heavy weapons towards Wards where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
