In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 June at 04:50 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) arrived at Taltheetaw Village in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, and opened fire improvised mortars and small arms towards the Village. As a result of the attack, innocent villagers; U Cho, 55 years old, (Father) U Kyaw Aye, U Soe Thu, 27 years old (Father) U Tin Thein, U Phoe Htaung, 35 years old (Father) U Hla Ngwe, U Zaw Htike, 35 years old (Father) U Tin Tun and Daw Htay Yin, 60 years old (Father) U Chit Tee were dead from gunfire injuries, while U Kyaw Myo, 35 years old (Father) U Kyaw Shwe, U Thet Wai Soe, 33 years old (Father) U Tun Win, U Maung Zaw, 35 years old (Father) U Maung, U Thein Htike, 22 years old (Father) U Kyaw Moe, U Kyaw San, 35 years old and (Father) U Nyo Gyi, U Hein Zaw Oo, 35 years old (Father) U Khine Zaw, U Soe Min Aung, 35 years old (Father) U Tin Ngwe, U Kyaw Win Soe, 36 years old (Father) U Tin Myint and U Aung Kyaw Lin, 35 years old (Father) U Thet Naing sustained gunfire injuries. Additionally, a home-based shop in the Village was destroyed by fire. All injured individuals were transported to the Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:20 PM, Daw Mar Aye, 53 years old,(Father) U Tun Wai, who lives in No. (2) Ward of Kawkareik Township, Kayin State, along with Daw Cho Myint and Daw Tin Moe Khine, who both live in the same Ward, were picking earthstar mushrooms near the Sinkone cemetery located between Nankawtoe Village and Tatankuu Village in Kawkareik Township when a heavy weapon shell fired by a terrorist group (under scrutiny) fell and exploded near them. As a result, Daw Mar Aye sustained injuries from the blast and was transported to the Kawkareik District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incidents to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with a heavy weapon, improvised mortars and small arms towards the Wards and Villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
