In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 November at 06:35 AM, KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists attacked with drop bombs using a drone onto Laeaeinsu Village of Phyu Township, Bago Region. One of the drop bombs fell and exploded within the house yard of Daw Lwin Lwin Aung (40 years old), who lives in this Village. As a result of the explosion, Daw Lwin Lwin Aung and her daughter Ma Aye Aye Aung (14 years old), who were present in the house at that time, sustained bomb shrapnel. Unfortunately, another daughter Ma Nwe Nwe Aye (eight years old), who was also present in the house, was dead from bomb shrapnel. The injured individuals were transported to the Phyu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 01:20 PM, a terrorists (under scrutiny) attacked with heavy weapons onto No. (1) Ward of Kawkareik Township, Kayin State. The heavy weapon shells landed and detonated within the Ward. As a result of the explosion, Daw Nyunt Sein (58 years old), Daw Hnin Myaing (65 years old), Ma Thandar Soe (25 years old), Ma Khin Than Oo (25 years old) and Ma Theint Theint Thu (3 years old), who all live in this Ward, sustained injuries from heavy weapon shrapnel respectively and were transported to the Kawkareik District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with heavy weapons and drop bombs using a drone, aiming to injure innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
