Terrorists Carried out Acts of Terrorism Using Explosive Devices by Capitalizing on Unguarded Moments of Security Personnel

     With the intent to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extremist terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, security personnel received a report of an explosion that had occurred on 17 June, 2024 at 6:15 PM, near a fish farming pond located beside the Pyidaungsu road, Myathida ward, Hopin Town, Moenyin Township of Kachin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that while U Tu Lwan (46 years old), a resident of Myazayar ward of Hopin Town, was mowing the grass near the pond, a mine planted by a terrorist group (under investigation) exploded. As a result, he got injuries from the explosion and was sent to Hopin Public Hospital, it was reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are taking measures to identify the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above-mentioned incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
