In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 December at 03:10 PM, a reported stated that a female had arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital with injuries caused by mine shrapnel. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Nyo (58 years old), who lives in Phayarpayn Village of Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, had sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to her waist and instep. The incident was verified to have occurred on the same day at 08:00 AM, as Daw Nyo was walking from her home to her field when a homemade mine, planted by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, Daw Nyo sustained the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
Likewise, on 22 December at 01:15 AM, the Buddha Pujaniya festival at the 'Koenawin' Pagoda, featuring the 'Pyichanthar' Mon ethnic troupe, was being held in Yondalinkone Village of Bilin Township, Mon State. During the event, two terrorists of being part of a collaborative group, including KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle from Kawkadud Village. Subsequently, they threw a grenade into the festival before fleeing. The grenade exploded within the festival area, resulting in the death of Mg Oakkar Kyaw (17 years old), who lived in Pauktaw Village, from bomb shrapnel injuries to the entire body. Additionally, U Kyaw Min Htike (43 years old) from Pauktaw Village, along with U Thu Lin (45 years old), U Theik Soe (40 years old) and U Aung Soe Thant (47 years old), who all live in Kyauktalone Village, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. Security personnel transported all the injured individuals from Bilin Township Public Hospital to Yangon Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
