In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 December at 01:35 PM, a report stated that an explosion had occurred in Thayetchaungtaesu Village of Nattalin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Toe Toe Aung (22 years old), who lived in this village, was herding cows near Thayetchaungtaesu Village, get injured stepping on a land mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result of the explosion, Ko Toe Toe Aung was dead from mine shrapnel injuries while being under medical care at Nattalin Township Public Hospital, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
