In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 December 2024 at 9:15 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Min Su Ward, Loikaw Township of Kayah State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that Ko Wai Yan Htoo (28 years old), a resident of the ward, had been gathering firewood behind his house. He accidentally stepped on an explosive device planted by a terrorist group, resulting in shrapnel injuries. He was subsequently transported to Loikaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Naung Yar (Ka Gyi) Ward, Loikaw Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Thoe Yal (60 years old), a resident of Mingalar Ward in Loikaw Township, was transferring materials from House No. 106 in Naung Yar (Ka Gyi) Ward. He accidentally stepped on an explosive device planted in the yard by a terrorist group, resulting in shrapnel injuries. U Thoe Yal was transported to Loikaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, however, he succumbed to his injuries while en route to the hospital, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near the Township Municipal Administration Office, located at the corner of Ma Hlwa Gone Street and Banyardala Road in Kyar Kwat Thit Ward, Tamwe Township of Yangon Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the explosion was caused by an explosive device planted by a terrorist group on the roadside of Ma Hlwa Gone Street, approximately 30 feet from the entrance/exit gate of the office. As a result of the explosion, the right rear side glass of a white HYUNDAI GRAND STAREX vehicle (License Plate No. BGO-11/5Q-XXXX) was shattered. Additionally, U Sai Pan Pha Late (35 years old), a resident of Kyar Kwat Thit Ward and Daw Thida Oo (59 years old), a resident of Kyauk Myaung (Upper) Ward, who were present at the scene, sustained shrapnel injuries. Both individuals were transported to Yangon Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
