With the intent to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extremist terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 June, 2024 at 8:20 AM, while U Kyaw Thet Naing (46 years old), a resident of Taung Nge Village, Bokepyin Township, Tanintharyi Region, was mowing grass with lawnmower at a rubber plantation in the village, an explosive device went off which is planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, U Kyaw Thet Naing sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Pyi Gyi Man Taing Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:20 PM, security personnel received a report that an explosion occurred in “Pioneer” KTV located at the corner of 53rd and 35th Street in Ye Mon (South) Ward, Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that two male terrorists riding a motorcycle had thrown a hand grenade at the KTV, before fleeing. The grenade exploded within the KTV yard. As a result, the front bonnet of a TOYOTA HIACE (License Plate No. YGN 9L/XXXX) parked near the incident was damaged. Additionally, Ko Min Ko (28 years old), a security employee at the KTV, sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are taking measures to identify the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above-mentioned incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
