With the intent to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extremist terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 June, 2024 at 8:00 AM. Daw Mar Gyi (53 years old) accidentally hit an improvided mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group near Thit Ngote Tahtung (local name) creek 600 meters to the west of Ingyin Su village, Kanbalu township of Sagaing region while she went there to pick cooking leaves. As a result, she got shrapnel injuries and was sent to Kanbalu district public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:00 PM, security personnel received a report stating that an explosion occurred on the same day, at Zwe Htet No. (4) goldware shop located at the corner of 84 Street and 34 Street, Aung Nan Yeikthar (West) ward, Chanayetharzan township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that two so-called PDF terrorists driving a motorbike threw an improvised bomb into the goldware shop and drove away. The bomb exploded in the area where motorbikes were parked in front of the shop damaging two motorbikes there. Moreover, staff of the goldware shop, U Ko Ko Naung (28 years old), a resident of Aung Nan Yeik (East) ward, Ko Than Htike (18 years old), from the same ward, Ko Tun Tun Aung (19 years old), Ma Kyal Zin Win Lae Aung (22 years old) and Ko Shine Min Oo (23 years old) sustained shrapnel injuries, and the injured were sent to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 8:20 PM, security personnel received a report that an explosion occurred at No. (2) Myoma ward, Mawlaik township of Sagaing region and promptly arrived there for further investigation, it was discovered that three so-called PDF terrorists (under scrutiny) on a motorbike arrived at the house of U Myo Thant (61 years old) living in the aforementioned ward and threw a grenade into the house. The bomb exploded in the yard causing injuries to Ma Thu Zar Win (26 years old) and Ma Ei Phyu (4 years old) and the injured were sent to Maw Laik public hospital for medical treatments.
It has been reported that the security personnal are taking measures to identify the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above-mentioned incidents to take effective action against them in accordance with the law.
